Give us the cold shoulder : Off-shoulder trend
Ever since Sandy strutted her stuff in a teeny-tiny black one, giving Danny multiplying chills, we have been huge fans of the off-shoulder top. 2016 looks to be all about the shoulders, with off-shoulder tops and dresses for summer and cold-shoulder tops for winter on practically every runway.
The beauty of this style is that it’s so easy to wear and there’s a style out there to suit everybody. This trend is all about the shoulders so there’s really no need to accessorise. Simply add a bit of shimmer powder to highlight, throw on a pair of your favourite jeans, add some sandals and you’re good to go.
We especially love the new shirt style off-shoulder tops which add a modern take on the trend (see below for the one I’m wearing [Sal]).
STYLE WARNING : Beware of the dreaded tan-lines – this can quite easily send your oh-so-chic look into fashion faux-pas territory in the blink of an eye. Take it from me (Sal), with my early-morning-dog-walker-in-my-gym-top-tan-lines – not a good look and flippin’ hard to cover.
