This is our favourite Red Carpet event of the year, where the World’s biggest fashion designers push the envelope when it comes to dressing a select group A-list invitees.  Anything goes.

Sadly, we were left a little disappointed with yesterday’s 2016 Met Gala.  Themed Manus X Machina : Fashion in an Age of Technology, there were a lot of metallic details, Swarovski crystals and even LED lighting on display as designers attempted to conjure up a futuristic high-tech vision.  To us though, it was a little bit predictable and lack-lustre with some A-listers looking like they hadn’t read the invitation clearly or just plain couldn’t be arsed following the dress-code.

Anyway, enough of my little rant.  The Met Gala is always good for a laugh though and this one was no exception.  Without further ado, our best and worst picks of the night.

The Good

Zoe Saldana blooms in this gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana gown.

In full-bloom.  Zoe Saldana rocks this Dolce & Gabbana show-stopper.

Gigi shows her metal in this beautiful Tommy Hilfiger gown.

Kate Hudson in a 3-D stunner by Atelier Versace.

Who else but Queen B can look both flawless and COOL in latex.  By Givenchy.

Modern.  Tick.  Elegant.  Tick.  Love, love Kendall in this Versace number.

The Bad

Where to start on this Game of Thrones nightmare?  Put it away, Madge!

Katy, love your choice of accessory (not talking about the Tamagotchi btw) but what were YOU thinking?

Miranda normally gets it SO right.  This is just SO wrong.

And there’s always one.  At least Solange is always up for a laugh.

Well, there you have it. We must admit if this is the future, it’s a little scary.

Please let us know your best and worst fashion moments of this year’s Met Gala, we always love to hear from you.

Until next time,
